The Heart’s eternal monsoon

Still as the wind she sat

Balmy and rain-laden

A prelude to the storm she held within

The dark clouds gathered on the horizon

As her heart ;sombre, sinister, swollen

Monsoon

Waiting to unleash her fury

To consume all in its path

But as the sheets of rain came

So did the tears

The salt mingling with the rain

Washing away her wrath

Leaving only a trail of raw emotions

The rains eased ,the yearnings did not

Her heart felt leaden ,pulsed with pain

For what was an eternal loss…
