"They get better.” Haruki Murakami ~~ Norwegian Wood Toru,Midori and Naoko in a complicated life with unfulfilled love stories .Naoko is damaged in a way that offers little redemption,but there is still hope for Toru and Midori ...Midori is also damaged but not irretrievably ....Toru ,a rather likeable character, straightforward, a reader and wise beyond his years... There are stories within stories...An excellent read...

Half of a yellow sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie...Once in a while ,a book comes along that stuns you with its sheer intensity ...I was drawn into this book, the suffering and the struggle like I was living it.Wonderfully written ,this book is a window into a world and a struggle I knew nothing about ..Again introduced to this landmark novel in my book club years ago , I have read this book many times over..And yet each time I am just as heartbroken as I was when I first read it. And that is this writer's gift !!!!A must read!!
